For all players that experience enormous lags and server crashes on our SM!LE shanghai servers - don't blame us, blame whoever is constantly running a DDoS attack against it. The attacks have been going on since around 5 days now, and we are pretty sure that the attacks started shortly after we banned a cheater. We are not going to name and shame, but find it rather hilarious that people become so mad when getting banned that they resort to simple DDoS attacks on our servers (supposedly they are not capable of doing more complicated things, duh - I mean, they even pay money for their cheats instead of writing their own ones.). We are in steady contact with our server provider and we hope to mitigate the attack in the next days. Sadly, we won't be able to provide you with the gaming experience you used to have, and changing server names and IP is only a temporary solution aswell.

While the point was up for discussion since the start of our Shanghai server, we finally decided to ban certain players from our SM!LE Shanghai server who were farming kills with the attack helicopter, mainly with the US Viper only. We had to make this step because our server was getting emptier from day to day, and feedback from regulars stating that they were getting frustrated was increasing. We hope that the players we now banned understand this step, and that the casual players who want to have fun here will come back and support these actions.

We had an internal discussion yesterday and decided to unify and change the server rules. We agreed on allowing C4 at elevator and C4 suicide, because it can easily be countered by using MAV or SRAW. You can view our new, clearer rules here. Additionally, we settled on our ban durations/action catalogue which youc an find here! The kill, kick and ban reasons have also been changed and now include a link to our forum in order to prevent unjust bans.

In order to prevent people from complaining, we are planning on introducing a catalogue of default ban actions and durations. You can view and discuss them here! Please note that we still need to finally agree, so handle this as a first draft, and changes are most likely to occur.

We finally decided to remove our TeamSpeak server's password protection. You can now freely join it, but got some limitations in where you can go. Find out more about our TeamSpeak!

The third SM!LE Server has been deactivated. Sadly the random map pool was not that highly appreciated, so until we agree on another map we want to put on there, it will stay down to reduce server costs.

It is now possible to fetch the live scoreboard as well as a list of the players with the highest overall score for all four SM!LE servers.
